Obituary for Rosa Eleuterio
God called Rosa peacefully on March 15, 2021 at the St. Joseph’s Health Centre at the age of 84. Rosa is now reunited in heaven with her husband João. Devoted and beloved mother to John (Joanne), Cidalia (Francisco), Carlos (Carolina), Nemesio (Patricia), Marco (Lina), and Mary (Paul). Rosa will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by her 8 grandchildren and her sisters Luisa and Etelvina. Visitation will be held at the Vescio Funeral Home “Toronto” Chapel (2080 Dufferin Street north of Rogers Road), on Sunday March 21st from 1-5 pm. The Funeral Mass will be on Monday at 9:30 a.m. at the St Matthew’s Roman Catholic Church (706 Old Weston Road). Entombment to follow at Prospect Cemetery.
With the current restrictions put in place by the Ontario Government and the Bereavement Authority of Ontario, the maximum number of people gathering at one time is limited to 15 percent capacity. Friends may attend the visitation, but must reserve a visitation time slot of 15 minutes only, and do so by RSVP online or by contacting the funeral home.
All guests wishing to attend the Funeral Mass and entombment service must also RSVP online. Only those guests who have registered for the Funeral Mass will be permitted into the church and may attend the entombment services. Names will be verified at the church entrance.
Only Rosa’s immediate family members are asked to come to the funeral home the morning of the Funeral Mass. All guests who have an RSVP to attend the Mass, are asked to make their way directly to the church.
All guests entering the funeral home, church and cemetery must be registered with the funeral home and are required to wear a mask at all times and avoid physical contact with others.
