God called Rita peacefully on October 27, 2020 at the age of 84. She is now reunited in heaven with her loving husband Paul. Cherished by her dear children Joe (Rose), Mike, and Mario (Teresa). Proud Grandmother to Marisa (Leo Bianchi), Paul Azzopardi, Simonetta Azzopardi, and Vanessa Azzopardi. Adoring great grandmother to Scarlett. Rita will be held dear in the hearts of her family, relatives, and many friends. Visitations will take place at the Vescio Funeral Home Woodbridge Chapel (8101 Weston Rd. 905-850-3332) on Sunday November 1, 2020 from 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. and Monday November 2, 2020 2:00 – 4:00 & 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday November 3, 2020 at 9:30 a.m. at St. David’s Roman Catholic Church (2601 Major MacKenzie, east of Jane St.). Private Family Entombment to follow. If so desired, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society in Rita Azzopardi’s behalf.
