Obituary for Calogero "Charlie" Mirasola

It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Calogero (Charlie/Lillo) Mirasola, at age 87, on August 3rd 2022. Calogero passed gently while in the presence of his family after a long and valiant battle against PSP, during which he gave everyone around him unbelievable strength, leaving a legacy of unconditional love to his family and many dear friends.

He will forever be missed by his devoted and loving wife Carmela of 63 years. Dear father of Sam and his wife Enza, and John and his wife Josie. He will be cherished deeply by his grandchildren Amanda, Steven (Megan), and Carmelina.

He will be held deep in the hearts of many and will be fondly remembered by his extended family and friends in Canada, the United States, and Italy.

He moved through life with the integrity, humility, and an incredible work ethic. Calogero was an accomplished entrepreneur. With the help of his wife, he established Mirasun Imports and distributed household linens to retailers all over Canada.

Calogero valued beyond words the close family and friends that surrounded him. The great memories of gatherings brought him so much laughter and joy. His sense of humour, generosity, determination, hospitality, commitment to family, and love of life and adventure will greatly be missed.

We would like to express our appreciation for the compassion and support of all his caregivers. Thanks to his medical team for his care, and to Father Rony for his spiritual guidance.
