Obituary for Boris Bajin

Dr. Boris Bajin, a University Professor and Sports Scientist passed away at the age of 90 at his home in Toronto surrounded by family. He had many professional and academic achievements throughout his lifetime and while they are too many to list, these are some that stand out:

 

- Coached at 5 consecutive Olympic games

- Coached at 10 world championships

- Coached at every major gymnastics and tennis competition in the world:

o Commonwealth Games

o Pan-am Games

o Pan-Pacific Championships

o World Student Games

o European Championships

o Mediterranean Championships

 

 

Boris was a University Professor, Author, and lecturer at Sport Congresses around the world. He has written and published 15 books and over 200 scholastic articles that have been published and recognized in many countries (Canada, USA, England, Russia, Germany and Australia among others).

 

He has also worked with Canadian Davis Cup and Fed Cup athletes and as a research consultant for the Canadian Tennis association.

 

Although his professional accomplishments were numerous and versatile, his family remained his first priority throughout his lifetime. He leaves behind his loving wife Natasa, son Alex and daughter Sanja. Along with his son-in-law Dr. Isaac Whitman, daughter in law Rose Bajin and 3 grandchildren, Natalija, Yannick and Aubrey. He also leaves family in Serbia and many, many friends around

the world.

 

He had a full life and will greatly be missed by those who loved him and knew him.
