Joseph “Joe” Facca
It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph “Joe” Facca who passed on May 8 in the comfort of his home. After a courageous battle with cancer he left our world peacefully surrounded by his loving wife of 55 years Olga and his cherished daughters Lory (Nick), Sandra (Vince) and Diane (Claudio). Joseph will be held dear in the hearts of his four grandchildren, Nikole, Renee, Joseph and Anthony. Brother to Serina, and Leo (Julie) and loving uncle of many nieces and nephews. Joe will be remembered for the love and devotion to his family, friends and colleagues at George Brown College where he taught for over 50 years. Visitations will take place at the Vescio Funeral Home Woodbridge Chapel (8101 Weston Rd. 905 850-3332) on Monday May 11, 2015 from 7-9 pm and Tuesday May 12, 2015 from 2-4 and 7-9pm. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Clare of Assisi Roman Catholic Church (150 St. Francis Ave., north of Rutherford Rd.) Entombment to follow at Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery (Hwy 27 south of Hwy 7). If so desired, donations in memory of Joseph may be made to the Princess Margaret Hospital – Wallace McCain Centre for Pancreatic Cancer.
