God called Salvatore peacefully at the age of 89. He was the beloved husband of Lola for 69 years and was a devoted father to Michele (Ida), Franco (Franca), Maria (Francesco Carpanzano) and the late Emilio. Proud grandfather of Sammy (Paola), Pina (Marcelo), Lori (Fernando), Franca (Carmelo), Joey (Kalia), Sabrina (Jonathan), Linda and Davide. Salvatore will be sadly missed by his 9 great-grandchildren. He will be held dear in the hearts of his nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and many friends. The family will receive friends at the Vescio Funeral Home Woodbridge Chapel (8101 Weston Rd. 905 850-3332) on Tuesday from 6-9pm and Wednesday from 2-4pm & 7-9pm. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday April 10 at 10:00am at St. Fidelis Church (33 Connie St., east of Keele St.). Entombment will follow at Prospect Cemetery (1450 St. Clair Ave. W, at Caledonia Rd.). If so desired donations in memory of Salvatore may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
